Health Care Specialist
Training or Education and Experience:
Minimum of one year experience in home health care. Must be at least
a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
or a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) would be a plus.
Must have excellent human relations skills to interface with doctors,
other referral sources and patients.
Job Duties:
Responsibilities include the following essential functions:
Performs equipment setups in a timely and professional manner. Generally
responsible for the setup of highly technical equipment such as ventilators,
monitors and CPAP units. Incumbent may perform setup of all types of
oxygen equipment as well.
Provides patient education as an intricate part of the patient care
activity according to the patient need and Lincare policy.
Performs complete and professional patient assessments in accordance
with Lincare policies and procedures.
Maintains current knowledge of respiratory home care techniques and
relevant respiratory therapy concepts.
Represents Lincare through professional personal appearance, patient
care activities and content of written reports.
Facilitates prescription collection.
