William Newton Memorial Hospital is proud to announce the successful graduation of another patient from Lincare’s affiliate Meridian Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. The program, designed to improve the health-related quality of life for individuals with chronic respiratory diseases, has once again demonstrated its effectiveness through the remarkable progress of its latest graduate.
After diligently completing 36 comprehensive sessions, the successful graduate has achieved significant milestones in her journey towards better health. Notably, she is now able to shower independently and walk to her mailbox, activities that were previously challenging due to her condition.
The patient's twin sister, known as the “emotional support human,” spoke highly of Meridian's program, crediting the relationships built by Serenity Morris, CRT and Melissa Sparks, RRT, Pulmonary Rehab Specialists, led to the patient's desire to keep pushing forward.
The Meridian Pulmonary Rehab Program at William Newton Memorial Hospital offers a multidisciplinary approach that includes exercise training, education, and support for individuals with chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, and asthma.
