    What is the difference between stationary and portable oxygen concentrators?

    A stationary oxygen concentrator is a device that provides oxygen therapy at home. You can connect it to your nasal cannula, mask, or other oxygen delivery accessory using tubing extensions, which allows you to move around and perform your activities of daily living. It is also used during sleep at night. Stationary oxygen concentrators are larger in size and provide continuous flow only.


    Portable oxygen concentrators (POCs) are designed for easy portability and come with wearable options such as a shoulder strap, carrying bag, or backpack, as well as a wheeled cart for simple navigation. Some POCs provide oxygen through either a pulse flow, continuous flow rate, or both options built into a single unit.
