The Benefits of Oxygen Therapy
Oxygen therapy is not just about treating your respiratory condition. Providing your body with the oxygen it needs can help you become a happier, healthier person. Here are some of the added benefits of oxygen therapy:
- Breathe easier — When you follow your treatment, it can reduce feelings of breathlessness throughout the day.
- More active — Whether it is exercising or just getting out of the house to run errands, oxygen therapy may help you return to doing the things you enjoy.
- Increased energy — Fatigue is one of the common symptoms of low oxygen levels. When your body receives more oxygen, it can circulate it throughout your body and may increase your energy levels.
- Better sleep — If you have low oxygen levels, you may experience difficulty sleeping. Your practitioner may also recommend sleep therapy or supplemental oxygen during the night, depending on your condition.
