Do I have to have a separate Phone Line for this unit?
No, our unit is designed to connect between your phone and your phone line. The only time it will interrupt the use of your phone is during a button press.
Will the system work in the event of a power outage?
The traditional system has a battery back-up that will operate the unit up to 24 hours when it is fully charged. When power is restored the battery recharges.
Is my emergency alert button waterproof?
Your Caring Responders® device is waterproof and may be worn in the bathtub or shower, both areas where individuals have a high number of slips and falls.
What happens if Caring Responders® can’t hear me through my console?
If the patient is unable to respond for any reason, or cannot be heard, we will first call their home phone number, if they do not answer then emergency personnel will be automatically dispatched (this protocol is customizable).
