What is an INR monitoring system?

    Toggle

An International Normalized Ratio (INR) test measures how long it takes for the blood to clot. This system allows you to test and monitor your INR and ensure it does not go too low.

Who needs a PT/INR monitoring system?

    Toggle

If you take blood thinners (anticoagulants) or are at risk of blood clotting, you should monitor your INR. If your INR is too low, it means your risk of a blood clot increases. If the INR is too high, the risk of hemorrhaging increases. Your practitioner might prescribe anticoagulants if you suffer from a disease or condition such as: congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, prosthetic heart valve, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, thrombotic stroke,  cancer, or venous thromboembolism.

    What is warfarin?

    Toggle

Warfarin is an anticoagulant used to prevent blood clots from forming in your blood.

How do I clean my device?

    Toggle

Following the correct procedures to clean and disinfect the meter is essential. Consult the user manual for instructions on cleaning your device. Failure to follow these procedures may cause the device to malfunction.
