Author: Jessica Fox

Respiratory Care Week
Respiratory Care Week is a significant event that shines a spotlight on the vital role respiratory therapists play in healthcare. Celebrated annually, it offers an opportunity to recognize these dedicated professionals and their contributions to improving patients' respiratory health.

The historical importance of Respiratory Care Week dates back to its establishment in 1982 by President Ronald Reagan1. It was created to raise awareness about the crucial work of respiratory therapists and the advancements in respiratory care technology.

At Lincare, we honor Respiratory Care Week with a variety of events and activities aimed at showcasing our respiratory services while engaging with our staff, community and healthcare professionals. We host educational workshops that offer insights into respiratory disease management, equipment, and our clinical services used for patient management. The contributions of our respiratory professionals are essential to quality patient care.

A key pillar of our service is our ongoing dedication to providing clinical services for our patients. The foundation of our company is built on the extraordinary customer experience delivered by our respiratory team. While we appreciate and commend our respiratory professionals every day, this week serves as a special opportunity to express our gratitude for their unwavering efforts to improve the health-related lives of our patients.

To all respiratory professionals, on behalf of our 10,000 employees, we say THANK YOU!
