In a heartfelt display of solidarity and community service, two groups of employees from Lincare’s headquarters in Tampa Bay and Preferred Homecare in Phoenix actively participated in the 9/11 Day of Remembrance Meal Pack project. This nationwide initiative, organized by the 9/11 Day organization, mobilizes thousands of volunteers across the country to assemble millions of nutritious meals for Americans at risk of hunger.
Lincare's dedicated teams joined forces with other companies to pack meals for those in need, demonstrating a strong commitment to community support and service. Additionally, Lincare made a generous corporate donation of $4,500 to help cover the food costs for this significant cause.
The 9/11 Day organization was founded with a powerful vision: "Let’s take back the day by turning the anniversary of 9/11 into a day of doing good." The organization credits the unwavering support of the 9/11 community, including the volunteers involved in meal pack projects in 21 cities nationwide, for transforming September 11 into the largest day of service in America. This remarkable effort is officially recognized under federal law, marking a meaningful tribute to the spirit of unity and volunteerism.
