What Are Employee Resource Groups?
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are vital components of an organization. ERGs provide a platform for members to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another, thereby enhancing personal and professional growth.
The Mission of REACH
The primary mission of REACH is to support the inclusion and development of Black and African American employees across Lincare. However, true to our inclusive ethos, REACH welcomes employees of all nationalities and backgrounds. The group aims to:
- Foster a sense of community: By creating a space where employees can share their experiences and insights, REACH will help strengthen bonds within our diverse workforce.
- Encourage personal and professional growth: Through workshops, mentoring programs, and networking opportunities, members can develop skills and advance their careers.
- Promote cultural awareness and appreciation: Educational events and activities will highlight the rich cultural heritage of African and African American communities, fostering understanding and respect among colleagues.
A Platform for Future ERGs
The establishment of REACH is more than just an initiative for Black and African American employees; it is a foundational step for potential future ERGs at Lincare. "Establishing REACH at Lincare will be an entry point for potential future ERGs, such as women's groups, groups for Asian American focus, etc.," said CEO Jeff Barnhard. Our vision is to create a network of ERGs that cater to various interests and backgrounds, making Lincare a truly inclusive workplace.
