Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: A New Initiative by the REACH ERG Group

Hispanic heritage month communication
This Hispanic Heritage Month, Lincare’s newly formed REACH Employee Resource Group (ERG) took the opportunity to honor the contributions of the Hispanic community and promote cultural awareness within the Company. Through a series of engaging activities, the group facilitated a deeper understanding of Hispanic heritage among employees.

One highlight was a vibrant luncheon held at our HQ office, where employees enjoyed a delicious array of traditional Hispanic foods. This culinary experience not only satisfied appetites but also sparked conversations about heritage and cultural traditions.

In a bid to further engage the entire Company, a company-wide quiz was organized, allowing employees to learn more about Hispanic landmarks. We also put together an educational piece to showcase the history and contributions of Hispanic individuals in healthcare. For instance, you may not know that Dr. Antonia Novello, the first female and first Hispanic U.S Surgeon General, played a pivotal role in advocating for public health issues, particularly concerning women and children.

Finally, to showcase the richness of Hispanic culture, the REACH group also displayed a beautiful doll dressed in traditional Puerto Rican attire. This visual representation served as a reminder of the diverse heritage within our workforce and the importance of inclusivity.

Inspired by our parent company Linde, REACH ERG is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity. We look forward to continuing these enriching events and enhancing culture appreciation within Lincare in the future.
